Aldrington is located in the southwest of East Sussex, as part of the City of Brighton and Hove. Quiet tree-lined residential roads exhibit late nineteenth and early twentieth century villa-style houses. Aldrington has expanded along the seafront and the closer to the Brighton and Hove seafront you get, the more modern apartment complexes you’ll find.

Before it was developed in the late 19th century, Aldrington was meadow land stretching west from the old village of Hove to the old mouth of the River Adur. It then made up part of the old Borough of Hove until it became a separate residential area in its own right.
Aldrington is characterised by late 19th and early 20th century villa style houses on tree-lined roads with large driveways. Many remain as family homes whilst others have been converted into flats. Larger blocks of purpose built flats can be found along the seafront, mostly built in the late 20th century.
Property prices range from £170,000 to £1.4 million. Overall, sold prices in Aldrington over the last year were 18% up on the previous year and 12% up on the 2017 peak of £469,967. There is a mixture of purpose built flats, converted flats, semi detached and large detached family homes. Much quieter than neighbouring Brighton, the area is popular with families due to the selection of well regarded schools and green spaces. Many young professionals also choose to rent or buy in the area due to the excellent transport links to Brighton and London.
Aldrington is served by its own train station with direct transport links to Brighton and London. Brighton and Hove are both within easy reach via the regular bus services along the coast. Hove is only a short stroll away with it’s excellent selection of shops and eateries.
