At The Property Shop we cater to the area around Hove Park, which is a pretty park popular with local residents, dog walkers, runners, and roller skaters! The park covers about 40 acres and is located, unsurprisingly, in Hove as part of the City of Brighton and Hove. The residential area around the park exhibits calming tree lined roads lined with villa-style detached, semi detached, and terraced houses as well as some flat conversions.

Hove Park was formerly known as Goldstone Bottom and was part of a larger estate owned by the Stanford family. The park, which now also gives its name to the surrounding residential area, was bought by Hove Council in 1899 and opened as a park to the public in 1906. Hove Park’s most famous relic is a 20 ton rock known as the Goldstone, which is believed to have been used by the Druid’s for worship.
The residential area of Hove Park is characterised by its wide, tree-lined roads and villa style detached and semi-detached red-brick houses. The style ranges from late 19th century to modern luxury accommodation. Hove Park is known locally as one of the most prestigious addresses in Brighton and Hove, which is reflected in the high quality and spec of any new builds.
Property prices in the area range from £215,000 to £1.5 million. Approximately 32% of properties are rented from private landlords including estate agencies*. The area is popular with families due to the open green spaces, sports facilities and proximity to large supermarkets including Waitrose and most recently Lidl.

The area is walking distance to Hove town centre or a short bus ride to Brighton. The A23 and A27 are also easily accessible and provide direct access to Stanmer Park, Devil’s Dyke and Ditchling Beacon for stunning countryside walks. The Downs can also be accessed by foot through the Three-Cornered Copse just up from Hove Park. Hove and Aldrington train stations are both a short walk away, with quick links to Brighton, Gatwick Airport and London.
